Our client is seeking a Quantitative Analyst

Our client is seeking a Quantitative Analyst to work in the Portfolio Team in an entry-level role, to support ongoing client strategy implementation and strategy testing for new clients, new strategies, and improvements to existing strategies. In this role, the Quantitative Analyst will run complex financial projection software, thoroughly review all data inputs and parameters, analyze projection results, and present results both internally and externally to clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize risk systems to implement risk management strategies for our clients.
  • Run complex financial projection software and summarize the results.
  • Compile and verify client reports, including performance attribution reports, risk reports, and portfolio allocation reports.
  • Develop and build additional tools and models to assist in strategy development.
  • Work with Capital Markets Group and Trade Operations Group to ensure that our strategies are accurately implemented.
  • Assist with compliance requests and questionnaires.
  • Develop knowledge of derivative markets and risk management techniques, and provide support for research, consulting, and advisory work.
  • Quantitative Analyst should have strong written and verbal communication skills, and have experience solving complex problems. Please be prepared to submit a writing sample or research project as part the application process. Strong Excel/VBA and PowerPoint skills are necessary for this role.

    Advanced Quantitative Analyst may have strong coding skills, especially C# (or other Object Oriented languages) and SQL (or other database management tools), experience working with Bloomberg or Morningstar, professional designations or exam experience (such as CFA and actuarial exams), and coursework in financial mathematics.
