Senior Software Engineer is responsible for data collection and tooling that make data platform.

Responsibilities:

You will member of a software project team work directly affects our ability to trade every day. You will work with a strong team of developers and analysts that will create and maintain the tools and software that support our mission-critical trading systems.

Using modern development practices and toolsets to implement and maintain proprietary applications

Using a variety of programming languages such as C++, Python, Lua, Java, Elixir, JavaScript

Deploying containerized applications on kubernetes or to serverless platforms

Building applications that leverage internal data to meet various reporting requirements

Analyzing large amounts of data and troubleshooting data pipeline issues

Learning how exchanges work, how trading works, and how Quantlab operates

Helping Quantlab transition to Cloud native platforms

Working effectively in a pair-programming/mob-programming environment

Skills:

You are a continuous learner, passionate about technology and want to know how things work

You have a proven record of delivering high-quality software in Linux and Cloud environments

You take initiative, own your work, and are persistent in following your products into production

You develop manageable and maintainable software; you build things youre proud of

Challenges excite you; you easily abstract simplicity from complex systems

You leverage engineering best practices like Continuous Delivery and BDD for fast feedback and learning cycles

Nice to have:

Have experience working with Cloud/Big Data/HPC environments

Have contributed to different open source projects

Youre up to date on modern C++ standards and have been using C++14/17 professionally or in your personal projects

Experience with Object Stores such as S3
