Our client is proprietary option market-making firm is seeking C++ Software Engineer.

Responsibilities:

Involvement in the entire project life-cycle including communication with quants and hardware engineers

Development, delivery, and support of low-latency trading applications

Acquisition of a working knowledge of financial markets and options market making

Collaborative development with other members of the technology and trading team

Collection, management, and analysis of large data sets

Requirements:

5-10 years of software development experience with C++

Understanding of design patterns and architectural best practices

Exceptional problem solving ability

Desire to work at the cutting edge of low-latency systems and quantitative finance

BS in Computer Science, Engineering or Math from a top university

Prefer working knowledge of multi threaded programming and socket programming

Prefer knowledge of financial markets (stocks, options, futures & commodities) in a volatility based domain

Ability to work in a fast-paced high-pressure trading environment

Varied skill set and desire to work on disparate challenging problems

Ability to maintain composure under pressure
