The person in the Software Test Engineer will be

The person in the Software Test Engineer will be responsible for learning the system and developing creative test cases to test it. Test cases will be automated using existing technologies. Social interaction with other testers, the software developers and the users of the system is very important. The software tested is used by internal staff in the areas of portfolio management, traders and back office processing.

Automate test cases using appropriate technologies at unit and integration levels

Manual Test Execution

Maintain Regression Test Cases

Proactively learn product functionality

Work closely with developers and other testers to understand requirements, process, and functionality

Work with users to determine use cases

Write creative test cases with detailed steps & procedures

Execute and report test suite and test case results

Required:

2+ years software engineer in test role

Bachelors degree/Computer Science or other Computer related degree

Excellent social and communication skills required

Enthusiastic about building test suites and tools that automate processes

Excellent codig/scripting skills in C#/Gherkin preferred, or Java/Cucumber acceptable

Database knowledge using Microsoft SQL Server and Good SQL Query building / understanding

Ability to test and prioritize multiple projects concurrently

Desired:

An inherent sense of the value of collaboration

Experience in the trading industry strongly preferred

Agile Methodology experience

Sharp critical thinking skills, sound judgment and decision making ability, and both the ability and willingness to clearly articulate your ideas

Strong understanding of Financial Instruments and products

Experience with Azure DevOps, GIT, Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft technologies
