1052: Network Engineer

Our Client is seeking a Network Engineer to assist building highly scalable and reliable systems. We are seeking a smart and enthusiastic individual who is relentless about driving improvement. We are a high performing team looking for an equally ambitious teammates.

Responsibilities

Ensuring that the communication within hybrid cloud/bare metal infrastructure is fast, secure and highly available.

Architect out modern network designs to facilitate high throughput across our environments.

Implement and fully support architected infrastructures, including all aspects of LAN, WAN, VPN, Load balancing, Firewall, WLAN, SAN, VOIP systems.

Maintain a focus on information security.

Perform capacity, high reliability and disaster recovery testing for all aspects of network systems.

Implement and utilize advanced network monitoring systems for a critical trading environment.

Requirements

5+ years experience in network administration/engineering.

Experience working with cloud and physical infrastructures.

Experience with low latency, high performance trading systems preferred.

Experience with performance tuning networking infrastructures.

Experience managing network devices (firewall, switches, routers) using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices and toolsets, such as ansible and terraform.

Experience building and/or managing layer3 designs and VxLAN overlays.

Proficiency in Python or bash to support automating routine tasks or develop custom monitoring and metrics collection.

Willingness to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.
