1096: Senior Systems Engineer

Senior Systems Engineer to lead technical design,
planning, and implementation of our hardware and operating system strategies. This role will serve
as a technical expert with direct influence over the design and implementation of our systems. The
successful candidate will be a self-starter, have a strong sense of ownership and be driven to
provide creative technical solutions to business problems.

Primary Responsibilities include:

Drive efforts to continuously improve and maintain our Active Directory environment

Develop solutions to automate and improve operational reliability and efficiency

Serve as a technical operating system expert, driving change to adopt new standards,

maintain reliability and improve performance metric

Provide technical expertise and guidance to improve existing hardware strategy including

standards, life-cycle periods, vendor management and capacity planning

Stay current with the latest technology trends in the industry; propose, evaluate and

implement new solutions

Skills and Experience:

Strong understanding of architecting and configuring Microsoft Windows OS technology

including AD Forests, Domains, Trusts, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and Organizational Units

Proven expertise in designing and architecting domain consolidation projects

Managing the day-to-day administration, support, maintenance and monitoring of the

Microsoft Exchange infrastructure

Experience with WSUS for windows patch management, including drivers and firmware

Previous automated software provisioning, operating system distribution and asset

management

Architectural design knowledge of storage and backup technologies

Strong working knowledge of virtualization solutions

Experience with configuration management systems, such as Salt, Ansible, Puppet, Chef

Regular work exposure to Python and Git version control

Previous cloud experience

Functional knowledge of SQL and working with databases is desirable

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with high attention to detail in a fast-paced

environment

Motivated to identify and problem solve issues in a timely manner

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to

develop and present ideas clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical team
members

High degree of flexibility and adaptability; comfortable in a dynamic working environment

Knowledge of the financial industry is preferred
