Our client is looking for Network/Linux Engineer with understanding of network protocols and performance optimizations. The role would include Linux administration, tooling, and automation. Docker, Kubernetes, data management strategies are a bonus.

Responsibilities:

Design, configure, and support our global network, collaborating across teams and vendors to optimize for latency and throughput

Build a deep understanding of internal, managed, and exchange network layout and performance characteristics to measure performance impacts of systems on trades

Test, analyze, and optimize OS and hardware configurations for trading applications

Automate configurations and operations of trading systems

Build automated tools for collecting data, monitoring, alerting, to identify and diagnose issues or opportunities for improvement

Requirements:

4+ years experience supporting high performance networks

4+ years linux system administration

1+ years python scripting experience

Advanced knowledge of IP networking, TCP/IP

Advanced knowledge of switching, routing, and multicast

Experience working with linux switch technology

Experience with Python scripting

Strong linux shell(all utilities) experience

Experience with automation tools (Ansible)

Demonstrated leadership and innovation capabilities
